Saturday First Free Practice - Brazilian GP

BAR-Honda driver Jenson Button topped the times in Saturday's opening practice session for the Brazilian Grand Prix but two dogs took centre stage.

The session had been halted after only five minutes when a Collie-type dog ran onto the track, with another hound also seen roaming around the Interlagos circuit.

Marshals attempted to capture the two strays before the action got underway again after a 25-minute delay when the FIA said "every access point to the track has been secured."

As a result, track time was limited to just 20 minutes and in frantic action on track Rubens Barrichello ran wide at the Senna S and Jacques Villeneuve spun at the same corner.

Button was the quickest man on track with a time of 1:11.466 ahead of his BAR teammate Takuma Sato with Kimi Raikkonen ending third fastest for McLaren-Mercedes.

Home favourite Barrichello, quickest on Friday for Ferrari, was fourth in the times ahead of Ralf and Michael Schumacher, of Williams-BMW and Ferrari respectively.

Sauber pair Giancarlo Fisichella and Felipe Massa posted the seventh and eighth fastest times with McLaren's David Coulthard and Williams' Juan Pablo Montoya completing the top-ten. Villeneuve, however, failed to set a lap time.
