Saturday Second Free Practice - Canadian GP

Renault pair Jarno Trulli and Fernando Alonso headed the timesheets in the final practice session for the Canadian Grand Prix as German World Champion Michael Schumacher finished down in sixth place for Ferrari.

Italian Trulli, who won the Monaco Grand Prix last month, set a time of 1:12.629 to finish 0.272 seconds ahead of Spanish teammate Alonso with the BAR-Honda pair Briton Jenson Button and Japanese Takuma Sato third and fourth.

BAR have been tipped as Ferrari's closest contenders this season but Trulli put in a consistent performance and lowered his session-topping time one minute from the end before spinning at the end of his run.

Colombian Juan Pablo Montoya finished fifth for Williams-BMW with McLaren-Mercedes pair David Coulthard and Kimi Raikkonen seventh and eighth and Rubens Barrichello ninth in the second Ferrari.

Brazilian Barrichello finished 1.275 behind session leader Trulli but damaged his car in the first session when he ran hard over the kerbs and also had an off in the second 45-minutes.

Austrian Christian Klien rounded out the top ten in his Jaguar while German Timo Glock finished 18th as he prepared for his Grand Prix debut with Jordan after taking over from regular Italian race driver Giorgio Pantano.
