The debt-ridden Arrows team have dispatched their fleet of trucks to attend the Hungarian Grand Prix but have made no decision on a second driver for the event, the team said on Monday.
The debt-ridden Arrows team have dispatched their fleet of trucks to attend the Hungarian Grand Prix but have made no decision on a second driver for the event, the team said on Monday.
Arrows are still in negotiations with three potential investors, including former BAR team principal Craig Pollock, who submitted a new offer on Thursday, in a bid to secure the future of the team.
A team spokesperson confirmed on Monday that the trucks have left the team's Leafield base and are heading to Budapest for the Grand Prix, despite no change in the current situation at Arrows.
And it was added that a decision on the team's second driver for the Hungaroring, following the departure of German Heinz-Harald Frentzen during the summer break, has not been made yet.
"The trucks have left," the spokesperson said. "There is no further news on the second driver but hopefully we will have something to say in the next few days."
Talks are still ongoing with major shareholders Morgan Grenfell, who have an injunction preventing new investors from buying into the team.
John Macintosh, a director of Morgan Grenfell Private Equity, told the Mail on Sunday newspaper: "We'll continue to work with team principal Tom Walkinshaw to get a deal done."
