Rosberg confident despite poor season

Nico Rosberg says he is totally committed to helping Williams move up the grid next season, despite a frustrating 2008 season that failed to match high pre-season expectations

The German took two podium finishes last season during a campaign when the team could not deliver consistent results with their FW30.

But despite the difficulties, Rosberg says there are no regrets about tying himself in to a new contract at the team - and insists that his determination to work with the outfit has not been dented at all.

"I have a contract for next year and am fully motivated to push myself and the team further up the grid," Rosberg told the official Williams website. "Everyone in the factory deserves better results and we'll work hard to achieve them."

Rosberg thinks that the lessons learned throughout the difficult moments of 2008 should put Williams in good stead for working out where improvements can be made for next year.

"It was good to have a couple of highs during the season, but it was a difficult year for us as we were not quite where we wanted to be. Nevertheless, we learnt a lot which will help us to do better in 2009.

"[I've learned] to keep fighting, even when times are a bit tough."
