Teams aim for tyre deal

Some team bosses believe McLaren and Ferrari, who did 137 days testing last year, are gaining an extra edge because they are not sticking to the 50-day informal agreement.

'There is a bit of confusion over this,' admitted Ralf Schumacher. 'By the amount that McLaren and Ferrari are testing I doubt there is any limitation on tyres.'

'It doesn't look like other teams stick to the regulation presently we were promised during the season. I hope we find out soon and I hope they stick to the limitations they told us at the beginning of the year because it is unfair to the other teams otherwise.'

'It is very important that there is equality and there is a definitive
number of days that any one team can test,' said team owner Jackie Stewart. 'But there is no written agreement that we have signed.'
