Massa Ready if Ferrari Want Him
Sauber driver Felipe Massa has said he would have no hesitation in jumping ship and accepting an offer to race for Ferrari next year, amid continued speculation that Rubens Barrichello will leave the Maranello outfit at the end of this year
Barrichello has expressed growing hints of frustrations at what he is able to achieve at Ferrari, having already clashed with Michael Schumacher over a last-lap incident at the Monaco Grand Prix.
And although Barrichello insisted this week that he was sure he would see out his deal which runs until the end of 2006, he remains linked with a switch to either BAR or the new BMW team for next year.
Massa himself is firm favourite to take Barrichello's place at Ferrari if Barrichello does leave - and said at Magny-Cours that he would love the opportunity.
"If Ferrari called me I'd go there immediately," he told Gazzetta dello Sport. "But I don't think there is the possibility for now. But I feel ready to race with a top team in 2006."
