Button Blames Lack of Grip
BAR-Honda driver Jenson Button has blamed the lack of grip for his disappointing return to racing in the European Grand Prix, claiming it was a serious problem the team will have to solve
Button finished in 10th place, with Japanese teammate Takuma Sato 12th as the BAR team returned from a two-race suspension.
The team were optimistic of scoring points in today's race, and Button on Saturday did not rule out fighting for a place on the podium.
BAR, however, left Germany without a point after the seventh round of the Championship following a poor race from both drivers.
"We were very positive. Obviously it was going to be tough starting early in qualifying but we expected to be really quick," said Button. "We expected to be right up there racing with the front guys. It's a surprise when the Red Bulls are quicker than you.
"It's very strange and I don't understand why. We basically had no grip - it's obviously a serious problem."
