Minardi Drivers: More to Come from PS05
Minardi duo Christijan Albers and Patrick Friesacher are both adamant that their new PS05 can still impress this year, despite the team having failed to achieve their target of outqualifying closest rivals Jordan
Albers and Friesacher could only get within a few tenths of the Jordan duo Narain Karthikeyan and Tiago Monteiro in qualifying for the Spanish Grand Prix - but they remain upbeat about unlocking more speed from their PS05 over forthcoming races.
"We are definitely going in the right direction with the car, although there remains development to do on it," said Albers, who qualified 17th but will start the race from 14th. "The Bridgestone tyres are working well here, and every time we run the car we are finding out more about it and making steady progress. I'm feeling positive."
Friesacher, who starts one place behind his teammate added: "There is no doubt the PS05 has a lot of potential; we just need to spend some more time testing and in the wind tunnel to unlock that potential."
