Red Bull will be Back, Says Horner

Red Bull Racing sporting director Christian Horner is adamant that the fizz has not gone out of his energy drinks-backed team's campaign, after their most disappointing weekend of the year so far in Imola

David Coulthard and Vitantonio Liuzzi failed to make any impact throughout the San Marino Grand Prix weekend as the team failed to score any points for the first time in 2005.

But despite the acceptance that their rivals' development programmes are now likely to make it increasingly hard for Red Bull to score points, Horner believes the team can make the necessary improvement to get them back in the hunt for points.

"There were elements of the weekend that were pretty strong and the qualifying pace was not good, but that will come back," he said. "We will come back. The amount of development that we have coming soon means I am sure we will come back and score a few more points before the end of the year."

Red Bull will be hoping  to make up some ground on their opposition during testing at Jerez in Spain this week - with improvements scheduled to be introduced in time for the next round of the Championship in Barcelona.

"It is very clear that we need to find a bit more pace with the car but the times at the end (of the race) were quite good," added Horner. "Hopefully we will see a step forthcoming in the next test this week in Jerez.

"There are steps coming before and after Barcelona and we will just keep pushing."
