Klien not worried about situation

The Austrian's deal with RBR was signed on Wednesday, but it does not guarantee him any races and he will face a fight against Vitantonio Liuzzi to prove that he is the man who should line-up alongside David Coulthard.

And although the team has indicated that Klien and Liuzzi may have to wait until the eve of the season to find out who will be picked for the race seat, Klien is far from worried about his situation.

Speaking about his deal, Klien said: "It makes me proud to be a part of Red Bull Racing's first F1 team.

"The day of my 22nd birthday on February 7, happens to be the day when Red Bull Racing will be presenting their new F1 Team and F1 car in Jerez.

"I am very much looking forward to that day and I am very excited to start my collaboration with the experienced David Coulthard, as well as with my friend Vitantonio Liuzzi and not to forget the great team of the last season.

"I am fully motivated and focused on this season and we will achieve the best results possible with this great team."

And although Klien's relationship with Liuzzi will obviously be tainted by the fact he is in competition with him for the race seat, he has vowed to put that behind him during the forthcoming weeks.

"Currently David, Vitantonio and myself are spending some time in South of France in order to continue our fitness training and preparations for the coming season."
