Bumps make life hard at Williams
Juan Pablo Montoya and Ralf Schumacher believe they are in for an ultra-difficult weekend in Brazil to get on top of their car set-up thanks to the bumps that litter the Interlagos circuit
Although Montoya was quickest overall in Friday morning's first practice session, with Schumacher third, the duo could manage no better than 11th and 10th fastest respectively in the second session despite having no major dramas.
Speaking after the session, Montoya believed that it would be harder than ever to find the perfect set-up for the Brazilian venue. "We did our homework today and the car seems to respond reasonably well," he said.
"The track is maybe more bumpy than before, but the tyres seem to compensate for the bumps which is good. It won't be easy to get the right balance and we have still quite a lot of work to do in view of tomorrow's qualifying."
Schumacher added: "The track seems to be massively bumpy. It is therefore not easy to find the right set-up nor will it be easy to make the right tyre choice. That said, all in all we had a trouble free day."
