Webber wants DC as team-mate

Reacting to the news that Jenson Button would stay at BAR rather than join him at Williams next year, Webber admitted that he was disappointed that he will not be lining up alongside Button next year.

"It's been a bit of a mess from start to finish," he said. "I was actually looking forward to it. There's been all this stuff that Webber's never had a strong team-mate and all that, so it would have been good to have the legend in the other car!"

Webber denies knowing Sir Frank Williams' intentions as regards to his second driver but does not think that Antonio Pizzonia is necessarily the hot favourite.

"He didn't do a good job at Jaguar but he has at Williams," the Aussie said. "We both arrived at Jaguar as nobodies and Antonio was the four times world champion that was going to blow everyone away..."

Then, talking about Ralf Schumacher's return to the Williams fold, Webber added: "Ralf has come back in and done a bloody good job, so that just shows where Juan Pablo (Montoya) and Antonio have been..."

Quizzed directly about Coulthard as a potential team-mate, Webber said: "He's good. Why not? The Royal Bank of Scotland and all that stuff. I'm not saying that DC's the man but he is good and he has done lots of work at McLaren.
