F1 gets race date shake-up for 2004

The Brazilian Grand Prix at Interlagos, which has traditionally been an early season event, will be next year's finale, taking that honour away from Japan. New races in Bahrain and China are confirmed for April 4 and September 26 respectively, and the Chinese race forms part of a Far Eastern double-header with Japan.

The Belgian Grand Prix at Spa-Francorchamps returns, subject to the tobacco advertising exemption laws being ratified as planned, on August 29.

For the first time in several years the British Grand Prix at Silverstone appears on the calendar without any proviso next to it, but the French GP at Magny-Cours is subject to the approval of its new contract. The British round moves forward a couple of weeks for its July 4 date.
