Monza day 4: Michael again
Michael Schumacher continued to set the pace on the final day of testing at Monza in Italy today (Friday), as Williams and Ferrari continued to work on their tyres ahead of next weekend's Italian Grand Prix
After finding their testing this week disrupted by a number of problems, both teams elected to spend another morning at Monza, in order to finish their preparations for the race.
Rubens Barrichello was second fastest, just 0.031s slower than his world champion team-mate, who were both working on a Bridgestone tyre programme. Juan Pablo Montoya was the lead Williams in third, completing further work on Michelin's new construction tyres.
Marc Gene was fourth fastest for Williams, ahead of Ferrari tester Luca Badoer. The session was only disrupted by one red flag, when Schumacher stopped on track at the Parabolica with minutes of the test to go. It appeared as if he had run out of fuel.
