Wilson impatient for Hungarian GP
Justin Wilson is itching to return to the cockpit of the Jaguar R4 at the Hungarian Grand Prix. The Briton's debut race with his new team in Germany lasted no more than a couple of laps after he was involved in the first-corner shunt.
"The three-week break has lasted an eternity and I am desperate to get back into it," said Wilson. "I am certainly more comfortable with the R4 now, and this was helped by a 50-km shakedown at Santa Pod on Monday. The car feels good and the pace is there. We now need to translate that into more points."
Wilson's big break with Jaguar came in the middle of the summer testing ban, which means his time in the car since the last race has been limited to small shakedown runs. He impressed at Hockenheim by placing seventh in Friday qualifying, less than half a second shy of speedy team-mate Mark Webber.
Webber, who went off on the last lap in Germany, feels that the tight track should suit the Jaguar: "The Hungaroring requires a lot of downforce and I am confident that we have this. The team have worked really hard over the break and I would like to reward them with a few more points."
