Warm-up: Ferrari on top yet again
Michael Schumacher and Rubens Barrichello continued to show the rest of the field the way in the half-hour morning warm-up for today's United States Grand Prix
The pair were split by just 0.14s at the top of the times, with Olivier Panis' BAR the best of the rest this time. The Frenchman will start the race from 12th on the grid, while his team-mate Jacques Villeneuve is a promising seventh.
Takuma Sato gave himself a boost following his difficult qualifying day by going fourth. The Japanese suffered a blown Honda engine during Saturday's free practice and did not have the benefit of the latest spec V10 when it counted. He will only start 15th.
Kimi Raikkonen's McLaren was fifth, ahead of Mika Salo's Toyota. Eddie Irvine gave indication that his Jaguar will be worth watching from 13th on the grid by going seventh fastest in race trim.
Williams duo Juan Pablo Montoya and Ralf Schumacher were a lowly 11th and 16th respectively, while third placed starter David Coulthard was eighth.
Jenson Button was ninth and Allan McNish was 18th.
The race is due to start at 1900 (BST)
