Ferrari will not abandon team orders
Despite Rubens Barrichello needing just a single point to clinch second place in the drivers' championship, it seems that the Ferrari drivers still won't race each other at the final two races of the year, the US and Japanese Grands Prix
Barrichello can now only be overhauled for second place if Juan Pablo Montoya wins both remaining races and Rubens fails to score.
Despite claims that the Ferrari drivers raced at Monza until after Barrichello's second stop, there is little doubt that Schumacher, as in Hungary, timed things to perfection so that Rubens emerged in front.
On the subject of the remaining races, technical director Ross Brawn said afterwards: "This is a nice team and a nice group of people. Our strength includes the drivers's relationship and how they enjoy working with each other.
"People talk about Williams and McLaren and how they let their guys race other when they were in our position, but look what happened - they ended up hating each other and it divided the team.
"That won't happen here. I don't want to destroy the team spirit here. Rubens and Michael are two team members and that's the way they will continue to operate."
