Button says best is yet to come

Button denied that the team's recent quantum leap in performance has levelled off. "No, I don't think so," he said. "The development curve is a big jump. Mike Gascoyne did a very good job for the first few races. He spent his time at the factory while we were away racing and it has really worked well. The flyaway races, for him, are seven days away and he did some really good work on the aerodynamic side with the other aero people at the factory.

"The developments worked and the bits keep coming. I was at the factory last week and I saw what is coming for the next few races and it looks good."

Button dismissed that the perceived Ferrari supremacy is making Formula 1 boring. "I love it at the moment, it's fantastic," he said. "Obviously I'm not thinking about who is winning the races at the moment. It isn't really an issue but hopefully in a few races it will be..."
