Video: Analysis of McLaren's 2021 F1 challenger, the MCL35M

McLaren has unveiled its MCL35M challenger for the 2021 Formula 1 season, reclaiming Mercedes power for the new year

The team now has a driver pairing of Lando Norris and Daniel Ricciardo following Carlos Sainz Jr's departure to Ferrari, and comes off the back of taking third in the F1 constructors' championship.

Despite carryover from the 2020 season owing to new rules enforced in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the car features a number of differences over its predecessor.

PLUS: The influences of Mercedes on McLaren's 2021 challenger

In this video, Autosport's Grand Prix editor Alex Kalinauckas is joined by Motorsport.com F1 editor Jonathan Noble, Autosport F1 reporter Luke Smith and technical editor Jake Boxall-Legge to assess the changes to the team over the off-season.

McLaren's aspirations are also discussed, and whether the team can repeat its 2020 heroics - or even go one better and return to winning ways for the first time since 2012.
