Podcast: What does Lewis Hamilton's latest title mean for F1?

Lewis Hamilton's sixth Formula 1 world title is the main talking point in this US Grand Prix review edition of The Autosport Podcast

Edd Straw is joined by Scott Mitchell to discuss what Hamilton's latest title means for him and F1, and the qualities that make the 34-year-old one of F1s greats.

Hamilton did not seal the crown with a victory, though, and the manner in which his team-mate Valtteri Bottas claimed his most impressive victory to date, plus the strategic variations that led to an intriguing end-of-race showdown, are also discussed.

Red Bull was a factor at Austin and credence is also given to the theory that Max Verstappen could have won without damage, while the disappearance of Ferrari's pace and the associated whispers about why that might have happened are considered.

The podcast's final topics include why Renault is stronger in races than qualifying - after another storming drive from Daniel Ricciardo to best of the rest honours - the late incidents both Toro Rosso's drivers were involved in, and Kimi Raikkonen's impressive but ultimately fruitless drive.
