Summary

Hamilton on pole by incredible 1.2 seconds in rain-delayed qualifying for Styrian GP
Verstappen takes second, despite a spin, with Sainz third and Bottas fourth
Another tough day for Ferrari, as Leclerc goes out in Q2 and Vettel is 10th
Racing Point also struggles in wet qualifying as neither driver makes it into Q3
Status: Stopped
It was a long one, but we got there in the end and an intriguing Styrian GP lies in prospect.

That's all from us. Thanks for your company, and we'll see you back here tomorrow prior to lights out at 3:10pm local time.
Commenting on his career-best qualifying, Williams' Russell told Sky F1: "No way I would have believed that prior to this weekend."

I'm pretty sure there's no way Ferrari thought its double race winner would only be 0.008s ahead of the Williams prior to the weeked.
Sainz's third-place in qualifying marks his best qualifying result in F1. His previous best has been a fifth in Spain in 2015, Hungary 2018 and Russia 2019.

That is Hamilton's 89th career pole position, and must surely rank as one of his finest?
So, the provisional Styrian GP grid is:
1. Hamilton, Verstappen
2. Sainz, Bottas
3. Ocon, Albon
4. Gasly, Ricciardo
5. Norris, Vettel
6. Leclerc, Russell
7. Stroll, Kvyat
8. Magnussen, Raikkonen
9. Perez, Latifi
10. Giovinazzi, Grosjean

Norris does have his three-place grid, so that will promote Albon, Gasly and Ricciardo up a spot.
Fantastic effort from the returning Ocon, beating team-mate Ricciardo by a couple of tenths.
Sainz gives McLaren more good news. He's third ahead of Bottas, Ocon, Norris, Albon, Gasly, Ricciardo and Vettel.
Hamilton is 1.2s clear of Verstappen. That is how you respond to the disappointment of last week!
Hamilton cements his third Red Bull Ring pole with a 1m19.273s.
Verstappen has spun at the last corner.
Couple of moments for Verstappen on this lap.
Chequered flag is out. Can Verstappen snatch pole?
Ocon up to third.
Verstappen purple in sector one.
Just one minutes to go in Q3.
Hamilton has thrown down the gauntlet. It's going to have to be a mega lap to deny the Mercedes now.
Hamilton back on top with a 1m19.702s. That is a big lap.
Verstappen has snatched provisional pole from Hamilton with a 1m20.489s.
Gasly back up to third. Great lap.
Sainz up to fourth in the McLaren.
Just three minutes to go.
Bottas improves to a 1m21.011s, but stays second.
Albon has jumped ahead of Verstappen up to third.
Verstappen: "I can't seen anything".
Norris has had a lap deleted. He's sixth at present.
Hamilton fires in a 1m20.649s to go fastest. Mega lap.
Hamilton is on a mighty lap here.
Albon has improved to seventh now.
So it's Bottas, Hamilton, Verstappen, Ocon, Norris, Gasly, Ricciardo, Sainz, Albon, Vettel.
Saying that, Bottas has beaten him by two tenths with a 1m21.036s.
The spray looks worse with just under seven minutes to go, so Hamilton may have times that one brilliantly.
