The session may not have started, but there's still plenty of work to do down at Renault, where the team's mechanics continue to make tweaks to the car Daniel Ricciardo heavily damaged in FP2 yesterday.
Race control rather helpfully points out that the risk of rain for F1 third practice session is 100%.
This could be one of those days where not a lot happens, but fear not dear reader, we'll keep you posted as things change and - hopefully - entertained in the meantime.

While we wait for the session to start, why not have a look at ALEX KALINAUCKAS's Friday feature? With the conditions meaning very little meaningful running will take place in FP3, and qualifying also in doubt, the usual long runs in FP2 were replaced with soft-tyre efforts as teams scrambled to cover themselves in the event of the session deciding the grid. 

We're just over 10 minutes away from the scheduled start of FP3, but with rivers of water still running down the track, we heavily doubt that anybody will bother heading out.

Prema's Danish young gun Frederik Vesti won the race ahead of a trio of Trident cars. Liam Lawson was eighth and will start from reversed grid pole tomorrow. You can find the report here. 

Good morning and welcome to a very damp Red Bull Ring for Saturday's FP3 and qualifying sessions. The big question, of course, is whether we'll get to see any running at all after this morning's Formula 3 race was abandoned after 12 laps due to poor visibility.
