F1 Monaco GP Live Commentary and Updates - FP3 & Qualifying

Updates from Saturday's F1 FP3 and qualifying sessions ahead of the Monaco GP.

Fresh from the Spanish GP, the F1 action continues with the Monaco GP.

Max Verstappen is the new Formula 1 world championship leader after winning the Spanish GP, as Charles Leclerc was forced to retire from a dominant lead in the race due to a MGU-H and turbo failure with his Ferrari.

Third and final practice for the Monaco GP gets underway at 12.00pm BST (1.00pm local time) before the all-important qualifying session which starts at 3.00pm BST (4.00pm local time).

There's been a lot of discussion around F1's budget cap this morning. Ferrari said there is no way it can keep to Formula 1’s current budget cap limit, while Alfa Romeo boss Fred Vasseur said top teams should “switch off the wind tunnel” to limit car development.
Elsewhere, F1 CEO and president Stefano Domenicali has cast doubt on Andretti’s push to join the grid as an 11th team, saying any new entry needs to be “really significant”.
Just five minutes to go until FP3 and there's a 0% risk of rain - it's looking very sunny again today!
Nicholas Latifi and Kevin Magnussen are first out on track for Williams and Haas
Both Aston Martins and Mick Schumacher have now joined the action
Latifi is first to set a flying lap with a 1m19.375s
Red Bull's Christian Horner says the team have made several changes for today - Perez and Verstappen were happier with the car in FP1 than FP2
Alonso is next to top the timesheet with a 1m15.809s
Ricciardo pops in a flying lap with a 1m16.232s to go second
Alonso shaves a second off his earlier time - this time a 1m14.757s
Bottas has recovered from yesterday's MGU-K troubles to go second, 1.16s off Alonso
Sainz goes straight to the top of the timesheet with a 1m14.114s - both Ferraris have been looking quick round Monaco so far this weekend
Leclerc is next to go fastest, just over a tenth quicker than his team-mate
It's looking a lot busier out there now, 15 minutes into the session, with 15 of the 20 cars out on track
Leclerc is first into the 1m13s with a 1m13.647s - he also topped both practice sessions on Friday
Verstappen has slotted into second between the two Ferraris, with Perez in fourth
Leclerc improves again - this time it's a 1m13.434s from the home favourite
Leclerc says "something weird" is happening into Turn 1 and he's experiencing vibrations in his Ferrari
Perez has taken the top spot, despite Leclerc improving - the pair set identical times, with Verstappen in third

Meanwhile, down at McLaren, Ricciardo appears to be struggling with overheating brakes - lots of cooling going on in the garage
Perez is having a slight set-up tweak, according to Christian Horner
With less than 15 minutes to go, Leclerc leads from Perez, Gasly and Norris
The Turn 14 incident between Verstappen and Zhou has been noted for impeding
Despite that, Verstappen goes second quickest - 0.316s off Leclerc
The stewards have also noted a Turn 3 incident between Sainz and Vettel for impeding
Stroll has made contact with the wall at the Swimming Pool, bouncing over the kerb and clipping the wall - damage to his front wing
But not for long - Leclerc reclaims the top spot with a 1m12.702s!
