TV replays show how Grosjean dropped out in Q1, as he runs wide and momentarily out of control around the Parabolica. Despite getting his Haas back under orders he ran off track so knew his lap was gone.
Out in Q1: Grosjean, Vettel, Giovinazzi, Russell, Latifi.
Radio Comms
"What a mess. Why did the Alfas overtake everybody?" Vettel asks over his Ferrari team radio.
All that bumping and barging means a number of drivers have failed to improve, including Vettel! He pits at the end of his timed effort which leaves him P17. He is out in Q1!
Here comes the F1 car train with Ocon, Raikkonen, Leclerc, Russell, Giovinazzi and Albon all holding each other up starting their final timed efforts.
It is a short breather as all drivers head back out on track, with the exception of Perez (P3), Sainz (P4) and Verstappen (P5) who, you'd assume, believe they are safely into Q2 and keeping a set of tyres fresh.
Every driver has returned to the pits to assess things after the first runs. The drivers currently heading out in Q1 are Grosjean, Vettel, Giovinazzi, Russell and Latifi.

Albon has also lost a lap on his second timed effort meaning he stays in P15 and right on the edge of dropping out in Q1. Leclerc has got a lap on the board with a 1m20.607s to go P11.
Quick reminder: The bottom five drivers drop out of qualifying at the end of Q1. So any more lost lap times for Stroll, Gasly, Magnussen or Leclerc could spell serious worry.
Stroll has suffered the same fate as Gasly, meaning he currently has no lap time to his name worthy of speaking about. That's four out of 20 drivers to lose a lap on their first goes in Q1.
Perez slots into P3 for Racing Point ahead of McLaren duo Sainz and Norris. Gasly, who had jumped into the top five initially, has seen his lap time deleted for running wide at the final corner.
Stopwatch
Hamilton goes fastest with a 1m19.539s to beat Bottas by over two-tenths of a second.
The rest of the F1 field has joined the track action now so here comes a rapid run of lap times given how fast the lap is around Monza in these modern F1 cars.
Scratch that, Leclerc has had his lap time deleted for exceeding track limits at Parabolica. Magnussen has suffered the same fate so both of them currently have no times to their names in Q1.
Stopwatch
A flurry of initial lap times arrive from the eight drivers on track which sees Leclerc go top with a 1m20.970s having gained the tow from team-mate Vettel, who slots into P2 ahead of Grosjean and Russell.
They have also been joined by Ferrari duo Leclerc and Vettel. With the teams coming out in their driver pairs, it might be safe to assume they will try the tow game.
The Haas, Alfa Romeos and Williams cars end a short game of pitlane stand-off to get the track action underway.
Green flag
The green light is on at the end of the pits meaning Q1 is go!
Track traffic and slow lap issues aside, today's qualifying will also mark the first time the engine 'party modes' have been banned in F1. Whether it'll shake up the order at all is a point for debate but it'll certainly be something to keep an eye on as this session progresses.

While we await an outcome of the stewards' hearing, if indeed there is any, the stewards have already put in a required lap time of 1m43s when not on a flying lap to stop drivers slowing too much in preparation for a timed effort.
A total of eight drivers were summoned to see the stewards ahead of qualifying - Latifi, Grosjean, Perez, Gasly, Stroll, Albon, Sainz and Hamilton - with a hearing taking place just 50 minutes before the start of qualifying.
Good afternoon! It is nearly time for qualifying for the Italian GP, but a number of drivers have been busy reporting to the stewards after an incident towards the end of FP3.

Norris and Sainz line astern in FP3 and on the leaderboard too. Will they keep their places come qualifying?
We're off to lunch, but make sure you join us again in the run up to qualifying in just over an hour's time!
Autosport
Here's the report then from an intriguing FP3, as Bottas topped the times from a trio of Renault-powered cars and Hamilton in fifth.

We love it when our questions get quick answers.
Twitter
We've got a little over 90 minutes before qualifying will start, but we don't anticipate much lunch is being enjoyed at Renault at the moment as it works to find and recover the fault in Ricciardo's car. Will he be able to make it out for Q1?
Ferrari ended the session only P11 and P15 in the end. A small crumb of comfort is the gap between Leclerc and Bottas wasn't as yawning as at Spa, but an 0.8s deficit is still nothing much to cheer about.
Autosport
It wasn't the most glittering of sessions for Haas - we fully expect one of their drivers to get a penalty for impeding Hamilton at the end of FP3. But having now signed the Concorde Agreement and committed its future to F1, team boss Gunther Steiner is turning his attentions to driver contracts.

A sore sight for McLaren fans - but with Sainz and Norris second and third in FP3, could we have the first McLaren on the front row since 2012?
Checkered flag
So here's your order then:
1. Bottas
2. Sainz
3. Norris
4. Ricciardo
5. Hamilton
6. Verstappen
7. Albon
8. Ocon
9. Stroll
10. Perez
1. Bottas
2. Sainz
3. Norris
4. Ricciardo
5. Hamilton
6. Verstappen
7. Albon
8. Ocon
9. Stroll
10. Perez
Looked like one of the Haas cars jinking out left Hamilton with no space, and he has to back off. We'll surely be hearing plenty on that in-between sessions.
Hamilton is unable to improve - replays show he has a massive moment on the grass avoiding a wall of cars. Yikes.
So it's second and third in the session for the Renault-powered McLarens, with Ricciardo - sidelined for the end of the session - fourth behind pace-setter Bottas.
It's P2 for Sainz! Albon is up to P7, but his laptime is promptly deleted.
