End of lap 22, Lindblad becomes the last driver to visit the pits.

Russell now reaching the tail-enders to lap them. Perez first – he's already been passed by Bearman.

Gasly then went around six tenths faster than Colapinto, but that could just be Colapinto leaving a gap for temperature management purposes.

The Alpines have swapped places. They also pitted a few laps ago – Colapinto on lap 14, Gasly on lap 16 – and Gasly has been lobbying for the swap.

Colapinto queried the instruction – they're supposed to be managing rather than pushing – but obeyed. So they are now P12 and P13.

Lawson passes Bearman for P10, and the Haas driver capitulates to the inevitable and comes into the pits for new tyres. He emerges last, behind Perez.

Those leaving-the-track-and-gaining-advantage investigations into Lindblad and Hulkenberg have been nixed – no further investigation.

Hadjar emerged from the pits behind Lawson but has made short work of him and Bearman, both of whom are yet to pit.

So that's all the frontrunners pitted for now, and all swapping to hard apart from Verstappen, who has used one of his two new mediums.

Sainz under investigation for a startline procedure infringement.

Ferrari now insists Leclerc comes in... and he does at the end of lap 16.

So that's Leclerc in the lead – for now – on the mediums with which he started the race. Russell emerges behind him in P2, 5.3s off.

Hamilton a further 1.7s behind Russell, then a 6.6s gap to Antonelli.

"I was managing in that first stint. You've exposed me to Kimi now," Russell complains on the radio.

"It's not going to be long for everyone," he's told. "Nothing to worry about here."

Let's see where they feed out. Russell is in front of Hamilton, but behind Piastri.

Verstappen has emerged between Hadjar and Lindblad.

Well, Merc reacts anyway. Russell in at the end of lap 12. Verstappen too.

Lawson also pits at the end of his lap 11. Like Hamilton, onto the hards.

"He's probably going for a three [stop]," says Russell.

End of lap 11 and Hamilton peels into the pitlane to get rid of those softs. This will force Mercedes to react, even if it didn't want to stop this early.

We're now solidly into the tyre-management part of the race. The frontrunners all circulating in the 1m23s bracket, Hamilton now 3.6s off Russell. Antonelli has backed off to 2.2s behind the Ferrari.

Leclerc has left Piastri behind as we reach lap 11 - three seconds already. Piastri is a full second off his teammate's pace.

Hadjar has passed both Alpines and is currently P11, challenging Lindblad for the last points-paying position. Lindblad says a resounding no to that, running Hadjar wide around Turn 2...

Hulkenberg also under investigation for venturing off-track at Turn 1. He'll argue that he didn't go that far off...

Lap 8 and Leclerc just drives around the outside of Piastri at Turn 3. The McLaren looking very twitchy.

Leclerc giving Piastri a hard time for P6 but F1 TV has just shown a replay of him nearly hitting the back of the McLaren under braking for Turn 1. That is one of the corners where the Ferrari has been particularly quick this weekend and you can see how much more confidence that car gives.

Lookslike Hadjar got off the line well enough but then got a lot of wheelspin in the second phase of acceleration. Then he nearly wandered into the path of Leclerc, who had to react quickly to avoid a shunt.

Lindblad now under investigation for leaving the track and gaining an advantage at the start. Looks like he didn't observe the bollard either.

Lap 4 and Russell now has a 2.5s lead over Hamilton, who is 0.8s ahead of Antonelli. Norris now 2s behind this battle.

Both Alpines made up two places on their grid positions. Colapinto and Gasly in P11 and P12 at the moment.

And an iffy first lap for Bortoleto, too, who is back in P17 after starting 12th.

Hadjar had a sub-optimal start, down to P14 although he's just relieved Carlos Sainz of that.

Ocon passes Bearman for P15. There's a tyre offset between the two Haas cars, of course, with Ocon on softs, so there could be an element of stage management here.

AND THEY'RE OFF!

Russell launches safely from pole to secure the lead from the threat of Hamilton. Antonelli takes a look but then has to fend off Norris.

Looks like Lindblad had to take to the escape road at Turn 1.

Charles Leclerc up to P7 from 10th already.

F1 TV graphic is showing Perez on softs but our data screen says hards... It's now updated. He's on softs!

That's quite a gamble for Hamilton and Verstappen – clearly aiming for track position at what is often a processional race. Or banking on an early safety car?

Well, we could be wrong there since Lewis Hamilton is starting on used softs, as is Max Verstappen. Nico Hulkenberg, Franco Colapinto, Carlso Sainz and Esteban Ocon on new softs.

Everyone else on new mediums apart from Sergio Perez, Lance Stroll and Fernando Alonso at the back of the grid (although Fernando is starting from the pitlane).
