Giovinazzi keeps the engine running and is on his way back to the pits.
Giovinazzi is in the gravel at the Tamburello chicane.
Both Alpines in the top 10 currently, a solid session for them so far.
So Verstappen heads Norris, Hamilton, Leclerc, Gasly, Sainz, Bottas, Perez, Alonso and Ocon. That is the top 10 with five minutes to go.
Verstappen puts the Red Bull on top with a 1m14.958s. He is the first driver to dip into the 1m14s bracket this weekend.
Yellow flag at Rivazza as Raikkonen runs into the gravel. Luckily the Alfa Romeo man escapes the trap.
Tsunoda is still angry in the AlphaTauri. Traffic is his gripe now.
Norris is only 0.022s shy of pacesetter Hamilton. Only 0.3s covers the top seven, its close out there.
Norris slots into P2 now in the McLaren on the softs. Latifi has returned to the track after damaging his front wing and causing an earlier red flag.
Tsunoda is not happy with Perez. He feels he was blocked by the Red Bull driver.
Gasly now pips Verstappen on medium tyres. The AlphaTauri driver is 0.005s faster than Verstappen.
Gasly has a moment on the exit of the Tosa hairpin and is lucky to get away with it.
Perez improves but stays in P2. He is on 0.4s adrift of pacesetter Bottas.
Verstappen has a moment on the yellow kerbs and backs out of the lap.
Plenty of laps being deleted now its hard to keep track. Track limits a big topic in this session.
Verstappen sets a purple middle sector and he adds a final sector to that. He goes top with 1m16.251 on softs.
Hamilton is on the soft rubber and slots into P7 with a 1m17.129s.
Perez's benchmark is a 1m16.642s. The Red Bull man heads the Ferraris of Leclerc and Sainz. Tsunoda, Hamilton, Gasly and Verstappen are yet to post times.
Latifi has managed to keep the engine running and is limping back to the pits.
Latifi has gone off the road and into the gravel at the Variante Villeneuve. He nudges the wall and damages the front wing.
Perez to the top now with 1m16.642 but is eclipsed by Bottas with a 1m16.402s.
Lewis Hamilton, Yuki Tsunoda, Pierre Gasly and Max Verstappen have joined the session.
