With just half an hour of the first session to go, let's take another look at the lap charts.

Hamilton - 70
Albon - 62
Norris - 59
Hulkenberg - 58
Magnussen - 53
Giovinazzi - 49
Leclerc - 43
Russell - 42
Gasly - 41
Stroll - 37
Russell improves to a 1m18.348s, which brings him to just within a few tenths of Magnussen ahead.
Giovinazzi and Hamilton both end their stints as we hit the last 30 minutes of the morning session.
Albon - on the C4s - Gasly and Russell are running down the pitlane to join C5-wearing Giovinazzi and Hamilton on track.
Gasly is heading out again on the C5s, while Hulkenberg completes a run on the lesser-spotted C1s.
Hamilton's now dipped into the 1m21s for the first time with two laps of his stint left.
Not quite in the second, but he still improves to a 1m16.949s.

We're not sure if it was on the C4s or the C5s yet.
We've been able to deduce from Hamilton's pit board that he has three laps left on this current stint on the mid-range C3s.
Norris ends his longer run stint, while Leclerc and Hulkenberg head out.
Hulkenberg heads out, Hamilton's still in the 1m20s after around nine laps on the C3.
And Russell improves on his best time, making it a 1m18.616s on the C5s.

He is still at the foot of the time sheets for now though.
Albon pits as Russell sets a personal best in the second sector.
Norris is now into the 1m24s, so he's fairly late into his stint on the C3s you would imagine.
Leclerc has come in, but heads down to the end of the pitlane to do a practice start.
Albon betters his own time to a 1m16.882s on a new set of C5s, shaving nine thousandths off his old benchmark.
Hamilton's consistently in the 1m20s on those C3s, looking like another longer run.
Russell does another 'set-a-personal-best-sector-but-fall-short' lap, this time it's a 1m19.413s.
He goes second on his first attempt, the Ferrari driver's 1m17.056s is less than a tenth off Albon.
With the opening session of the day motoring along at a fair rate, let's take a look at the current lap count.

Hamilton - 55
Magnussen - 53
Albon - 52
Norris - 51
Hulkenberg - 51
Giovinazzi - 44
Gasly - 38
Stroll - 37
Leclerc - 37
Russell - 34
Leclerc is now out on the C4s after his earlier eye-catching C2 run.

Hamilton's out on some shiny C3s.
And he is. Russell breaks into the 1m18s with a 1m18.896s effort.
Russell's looking quicker, setting personal bests in the first two sectors.
Leclerc and Giovinazzi head out to make it a fairly busy track now.
Albon uses the C5 to go fastest, it's a 1m16.981s.

He's the first driver to break into the 1m16s.
