A car! We weren't left waiting too long. It's Vettel in the Ferrari. That game of solitaire must have ended.

As you may have guessed from that previous post, there's nothing to tell you about on-track right now. Silence descends on the Circuit de Catalunya.
Our man Stuart Codling spies some personnel on the Ferrari pitwall. He can't identify them or their actions, but his guess is a game of solitaire. Testing can't be that boring, surely.
Hulkenberg straight back in, had rakes on the rear of the Renault.
Most teams will have a fair idea from last week's test if the car they have brought to the circuit is actually the car they thought they had designed and built in terms of the way it works. This is important as it confirms your ability to achieve your objectives and also confirms that you can continue with some degree of confidence in that development direction.

With the decent weather, some set-up sweeps will still be required to make sure you can identify where the sweet spot of the car sits and how to go about finding it when you go to a different track.

Longer runs will be the main priority to get a handle on Pirelli's new range of tyres, and that comes hand-in-hand with decent reliability runs.
That means the track's silent. Mercedes on top in the first 15 minutes of the second week, which of course means everything.
Bottas is back in, and his lap count ticks over to nine. Seven timed laps done.
Perez straight back into the pits. No aerodynamic, scaffolding-like devices on the Force India – well, apart from the halo.
Bottas flashes past again – 1m44.600s, so can't imagine that's two mistake-ridden laps in a row. He's heading towards double figures, with eight laps on the board already.
Hands up if you're surprised to see Mercedes getting down to work before everyone else... thought so. (LAT Images)

Now we just await the Sauber, and we'll have seen each team at least once already.
We have a Force India on track for the first time, as Perez heads out for an installation run.
Bottas either backed off or had a moment. We'd lean towards the former but you never know. He was 18s slower that time by.
Gasly returns to the pits after another aero evaluation run in the Toro Rosso; it's got rakes on either side, in the bargeboard area.
No purple first sector for Bottas. First time that's happened.
Bottas's latest improvement isn't as big a jump but he does get down to a 1m23.126s.
Another lap, another new benchmark from Bottas: 1m23.870s.
Magnussen heads out in the Haas, as Hulkenberg brings his soft-shod, aero rake-clad Renault back to the pits.
Track temperature is 20C, ambient is 9.5C. Positively balmy compared with last week!

Bottas round again, and down to a 1m25.552s. Mercedes not messing around with its first run of the second test.
Unsurprisingly Bottas is going quicker and quicker – improves to a 1m28.072s next time by.
Five minutes in, one laptime and five installation laps in the books. A solid start.
Bottas stays on track in the Mercedes. He's on mediums, Sirotkin's on softs. Didn't spot Verstappen's but will be more eagle-eyed when he flashes past next time.
Vandoorne straight back in but Verstappen stays out, as does Sirotkin. Vettel in the pits.
