The session's been red-flagged, unsurprisingly. A flat-bed heads back down the main straight to retrieve the McLaren.
There's now a support vehicle in attendance of the stricken McLaren-Renault.
Vandoorne had posted personal best first and second sectors before that stoppage. Another early setback for McLaren.

Looks like Vandoorne's stopped at the beginning of the start-finish straight.
Vettel's out in the Ferrari – but where's Vandoorne? He was on a flying lap...
Gasly in again in the Toro Rosso. Vandoorne, on what looked like super-softs, flashes by to set McLaren's first time of the day – a 1m24.773s.

As its old partner heads out onto the track, Honda's new buddy Toro Rosso returns to the garage. Gasly's up to six laps so far, the most of anyone without setting a time.
Magnussen brings the Haas back into the pits. No lap time, but he has now left Vandoorne and McLaren solo at the foot of the 'laps completed' count. We'll give you a proper run through shortly.
Magnussen tours past on medium tyres. He's stayed out for a lap but it won't be a fast one.
Verstappen in again, and this time comes to a stop outside the Red Bull garage.
Magnussen's gone out in the Haas. Bottas back in again in the Mercedes.
Verstappen returns to the pitlane but, similar to Bottas, he quickly reappears at the other end.
If you've been with us since the beginning this morning, firstly, we appreciate how keen you are. But you'll also remember that we had a last-minute driver change at Red Bull for today. We understand that Ricciardo wasn't feeling well, so the decision was taken to switch the line-up and put Verstappen in the car today instead.
Burnouts the whole way down the pitlane from Bottas, who goes all the way through and heads out again.
Verstappen backs off a little bit more, so perhaps he's gearing up for another push on this lap. Bottas, meanwhile, finally returns to the pitlane.

Verstappen and Bottas still have the track to themselves and they are making good use of it. Bottas now up to 22 laps, Verstappen on 12. Another slow lap from Bottas last time by, with Verstappen almost a second off his own best.
And Bottas backed off a lot on that last lap so there's more daylight between them again.
Verstappen posts a personal best again. The Red Bull's within a second of the Mercedes now thanks to a 1m21.587s.

Bottas doesn't improve, although that lap did feature another best middle sector.
A slower lap from Verstappen, to the tune of four seconds, and he's being caught by Bottas on track – just a few seconds between them.
Bottas is on his 20th lap of the morning already – at the other end of the scale, McLaren and Haas have completed just one installation run each.
Verstappen falls a little short of improving next time round, as does Bottas (by less than three hundredths of a second).

Bottas slower next time by – he was quicker again in the first two sectors but the last part of the lap dropped him to 0.15s off his best.
Verstappen pushes again after backing off, and improves to a 1m21.773s.
