If any F1 team is reading this, please send a car out on track so we can keep making updates. Thanks.
From our vantage point we can see some corners of a go-kart track, looks to be a close battle going on over there.

Thanks Williams and Russell! The driver heads out on track to help us make more updates.
Russell watch: He completes his out lap.
Russell watch part two: First proper lap in the bag on those C3 tyres. It's a 1m29.159s.

Alfa Romeo on top in the morning, but will it stay there this afternoon?
That's more like it. Russell's in the ballpark of this morning's times with a 1m20.445s lap, that's around eight tenths off his best.
We're enjoying the regular use of the C3 tyres here today, mostly because it's very easy to spot compared to the rest of Pirelli's range.
Russell's now past 50 for the day, well on course for Williams's best day of pre-season testing so far this year.
Russell's come into the pits, it's now an empty track.
But not to worry! He's straight back out again. We were worried about our updates then.
Russell watch is back: Fairly average sector times on his first flyer of this stint, still on the C3s, it's a 1m22.954s.
Williams appears to be alternating between push and cool down laps early on here.

Russell's stint comes to a close and we're back to an empty track again. Who will pick up the mantle of giving Autosport something to talk about in this session?
The answer to that last question is currently no-one.

Look at all the action going on in the pitlane

Russell works off his lunch as track action resumes
We have movement! Albon and Giovinazzi head out on track.
Giovinazzi's on C1s, that might well be the first long run of the afternoon.
Stroll joins the track in the Racing Point, as does Vettel.
Albon's on the C3 tyre.
And so is Vettel.

And we have a red flag.
Information
Bottas is the cause, pulling off on the inside of Turn 3.

Not that you can see easily, as the CCTV is a fair distance away, but here's where Bottas came to a halt.

While the recovery of Bottas's Mercedes gets underway, we have an update from McLaren.
The reason for Norris stopping this morning was due to a loss of hydraulic pressure. The team says it should be back out soon.

A closer look at the Bottas recovery

The Mercedes is now on the flatbed truck, so hopefully we're not far away from the session starting again.
Don't you just love flatbed truck updates? Well here's another. It's now taking the Mercedes to pitlane.
The truck has not set any purple sectors on its return to the pits, and we're fairly sure our Technical Editor Jake Boxall-Legge will not be a fan of its aerodynamic design.
But the truck has now returned to the pitlane with the Mercedes, so we should be getting underway again soon.

Green flag
And we're green.
Russell, Albon, Norris and Ricciardo hit the track.
Norris is back out too, as McLaren expected.

Our video guru Luke Hinsull snaps the Mercedes being returned to the team, and this concludes out flatbed truck updates for now
