That's all for AUTOSPORT Live today, we'll be back for FP3 just before 3pm BST tomorrow, followed by qualifying at 6pm.

In the mean time, stay with AUTOSPORT.com for all the latest news emerging from the Formula 1 paddock courtesy of our men on the ground.
And here is your FP2 report courtesy of LAWRENCE BARRETTO, it was certainly an interesting session thanks to the change in weather, and the session leader crashing.

10 Ricciardo +1.123s
Just over four minutes to go in the session and we are almost certainly not going to see any more cars on track.
And when talking about retro pics of Montreal, it's impossible not to feature one of the driver the track is named after. Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.

With Gerhard Berger hanging around the Red Bull garage, we thought it as good a time as any to feature a retro picture.

Berger and Ayrton Senna lead the field away 25 years ago in the Candian Grand Prix here at Montreal. Enjoy!

The Ferrari's pace on the long run was fairly close to Mercedes, although the stints were perhaps shorter than they would have been without the rain.

Judging on race pace alone though, we certainly will have a race up front on Sunday.
Carlos Sainz and team-mate Max Verstappen have completed the most laps during the session on 23. The Toro Rosso is clearly a handful though, with the pair 13th and 16th respectively.
We still have over 16 minutes to go and no sign of the track drying. Even if the Mercedes of Hamilton hadn't crashed, it's still a big risk to head out in a practice session in the wet.
The cameras are also picking up leaves, people in ponchos, and many drivers sat in the back of garages.
Things TV cameras have recently found to entertain us: two marshals chatting (about rain?), a fireman looking very wet indeed, puddles and more puddles.
There is some serious standing water on the exit of Turn 5, the exit kerb is completely covered.

Another picture here, this time of the Mercedes that didn't crash:

The level of rainfall is such that the puddles are beginning to encroach on the garages. Ferrari gets a broom-wielding man into action.
A sideways safety car is a nice treat, but hardly substitute for the full-blooded F1 machinery.
With the stoppage, TV directors are repeatedly replaying the recovery of Hamilton's Mercedes, and it definitely clouted the tractor.
The session is technically green again but don't expect to see any cars.
And 11th on back:

11 Hulkenberg
12 Ericsson
13 Sainz
14 Perez
15 Alonso
16 Verstappen
17 Nasr
18 Button
19 Merhi
20 Stevens
Here is the order as it stands:

1 Hamilton
2 Vettel
3 Raikkonen
4 Rosberg
5 Maldonado
6 Bottas
7 Grosjean
8 Massa
9 Kvyat
10 Ricciardo
Just over 30 minutes remaining and it doesn't look like the rain is giving up any time soon.
Here's a picture of Hamilton's car in the wall:

The world champion is still going to end this session quickest as there's no chance of this track drying in time for anyone to beat his earlier pace.
It looks like Hamilton's Mercedes swung back into the tractor vehicle as it was pulled out of the wall.
Hamilton has made it back to the Mercedes garage, where Rosberg is already casually watching the clear-up on TV.
A tractor yanks Hamilton's car out of the tyre wall with a bit of a pop.
While Hamilton's car is retrieved the safety car is ready to go out.
Damage to Hamilton's car looked like it was limited to the front wing and nose cone.
The session is under the red flag with 37 minutes to go.

The clock will continue to tick, although it's unlikely anyone will want to venture out on track after watching the reigning champion skid out of control and into the barrier.
Mercedes was just discussing with Hamilton on the radio whether he needed extreme wets when he crashed.
He certainly did aquaplane. The inters-shod Mercedes locked up across the puddles approaching the hairpin and slid straight into the wall.
Well that's a spectacular end to Hamilton's exploration lap on the intermediate tyres.

Looking at the weather and the amount of standing water, it certainly looked like a wet weather tyre situation.
Hamilton is perched on the rear tyre of his car awaiting recovery.
That's prompted a red flag while Hamilton's car is retrieved.
Hamilton is now disconnecting the steering wheel and stepping out of the car.
Hamilton skates straight into the barriers at the hairpin!
Very, very tentative stuff from the Mercedes, with huge amounts of spray in places behind them.
It doesn't look far off a monsoon on parts of the track, this must be full wet weather tyre conditions.
Hamilton and Rosberg are heading out on intermediate tyres.

The track looks very wet for that tyre!

The fans applaud and cheer the cars onto the track.
Some fairly significant puddles are developing around the kerbs already. Sauber's prediction that the circuit won't dry before the session ends looks accurate.
