Lap 61: Kobayashi dives for the inside at Turn 10 and the Sauber is up into fifth.
Lap 61: Meanwhile, Kobayashi has closed on Rosberg and is looking for a late move on the Mercedes.
Lap 61: Vettel is 2.7s behind Hamilton and quickly closing down the gap to the seventh placed McLaren.
Lap 60: Raikkonen is now 12.7 seconds behind Maldonado and still hoping for late tyre dramas to slow the leaders.
Lap 60: Maldonado is now edging his gap further on Alonso, now clocked 1.4 seconds in the lead.
Lap 60: Vettel sends a move up the inside of Button at Turn 10 and makes it stick. The German is up to eighth place, with Hamilton in his sights.
Lap 59: Ferrari tell Alonso he can use all the available revvs from his engine, but the Spaniard has slipped slightly back on the latest tour.
Lap 58: Hamilton in seventh has Button 1.6s behind him, but Vettel is now on the tail of the second McLaren, having closed down a 4.3s gap.
Lap 58: The crowd cheer on Alonso as he further closes on the lead Williams using DRS down the main straight.
Lap 57: Raikkonen is now 16 seconds off the lead with Lotus still hoping to triumph if the lead pair run into tyre trouble.
Lap 57: Another interesting potential battle is between the McLaren drivers and Vettel. The gap is closing and they are battling for seventh.
Lap 56: Alonso is back in the DRS zone on Maldonado now, with the lead gap clocked at just 0.9 seconds.
Lap 56: Webber in 11th is still tucked up behind Hulkenberg and unable to find a way past the Force India.
Lap 55: Meanwhile, Button is closing on Hamilton, who has the oldest rubber in the top eight and faces a challenge to make the end without a stop.
Lap 55: Vergne is through, past Ricciardo and up into 12th position.
Lap 55: Raikkonen continues to edge closer to the lead pair, but his progress is not quick enough unless the leaders run out of rubber.
Lap 55: Vergne is on team-mate Ricciardo's tail in 13th, with di Resta 14th, Massa 15th, Kovalainen 16th and Petrov in 17th.
Lap 54: Alonso is delayed somewhat by traffic, giving Maldonado a 1.3 second cushion for the moment.
Lap 53: Maldonado is told to save tyre energy in the quick corners, with Williams likely planning to run the distance on this rubber.
Lap 52: Vettel in ninth is 4.3s back from Button, with Hulkenberg 10th. The German has Webber right on his tail in 11th, then Ricciardo in 12th.
Lap 52: Grosjean heads in for his final stop, clearing the way for charging team-mate Raikkonen.
Lap 52: Alonso continues to pile the pressure on Maldonado but the Williams man is holding his own for the moment.
Lap 52: Raikkonen sets the fastest lap with a rapid 1m26.938s tour. He is 21.5 seconds - around a pitstop - off the lead.
Lap 51: Behind the leaders, Rosberg is a distant fifth with Kobayashi 1.9s behind the Mercedes in sixth, Hamilton seventh and Button eighth.
Lap 51: Raikkonen was earlier told Lotus think the lead pair need to stop again, but the tyre conservation messages to Maldonado suggest otherwise.
Lap 50: Alonso is right with Maldonado now, taking his first look at the back of the Williams with the aid of DRS.
Lap 50: Raikkonen resumes in fourth with plenty of clear air for his run to the flag.
Lap 49: The lead gap is just 1.4 seconds as Raikkonen pits from third.
Lap 49: Vettel is ninth after his recent stop, but he is only a few seconds behind both McLaren drivers and making inroads.
Lap 49: Alonso is encouraged on by his team, while Maldonado is told to save tyres by the Williams outfit.
Lap 48: Alonso gets on his DRS and blasts past Raikkonen to resume his chase of leader Maldonado.
Lap 48: Alonso is now right with Raikkonen in the battle over second place.
Lap 47: DRS it is for Maldonado as he clears Raikkonen at Turn 1 and resumes in the lead.
Lap 47: Massa pits the Ferrari for his third tyre stop - fourth pit visit overall - and drops down outside the top 10.
Lap 47: Raikkonen continues and Maldonado really needs to make a move...
Lap 47: Alonso sets the fastest middle sector and is rapidly closing on Maldonado and Raikkonen.
Lap 47: Webber in 12th posts the fastest lap of the race so far - 1m27.857s.
Lap 45: Kovalainen has made his third stop of the afternoon and is followed in one lap later by team-mate Petrov.
Lap 45: Raikkonen continues to lead for the moment, with Maldonado now right on his tail and being held up by the Lotus.
Lap 45: Rosberg is now fifth, still chased by Kobayashi, with Hamilton and Button completing the top eight.
