Alguersuari finishes a fine seventh with di Resta eighth. Senna was right on the Scot's tail on the last lap but has to settle for ninth.
Buemi claims the final point for Toro Rosso. Both cars in the points and the sister team to Red Bull will be well pleased with that.
Maldonado ends up 11th - small return after a strong opening stint to the race, with Barrichello 12th in the second Williams.
Kovalainen finishes the race 13th for Lotus ahead of team-mate Jarno Trulli. Glock was the last classified finisher in 15th.
Vettel tours back into the pits as he reflects on the latest step towards a second world crown.
Ricciardo was still running at the end, but not classified as it took HRT some 18 minutes to fire up his car after stalling at the start.
Senna claims his first points in Formula 1 with that finish, but others will not be so happy this afternoon.
Eight drivers retired from this afternoon's race:
Perez pulled off to the side of the track at mid distance entering Curva Grande. Kobayashi also stopped out on track, making it a poor day for Sauber.
Sutil was another to stop on track, while Webber made contact with Massa at Turn 1 and subsequently crashed at the Parabolica.
D'Ambrosio, Petrov and Rosberg were assaulted at the start when Liuzzi decided to try taking Turn 1 sideways just after the start, causing chaos.

The top three walk out onto Monza's unique podium and the German national anthem rings out for today's winner - Sebastian Vettel.
That is followed by the Austrian national anthem for this afternoon's winning constructor - Red Bull Racing.
Vettel joyously claims the winner's trophy for his second victory at the Italian Grand Prix, the scene of his first win.
Jenson Button receives his award for second place. He raises the trophy aloft and is pleased to have secured a podium finish today.
The crowd go wild as Alonso picks up his trophy for a battling race to third this afternoon.
The champagne sprays and as is tradition at this event, the top three spray the crowd in a wonderful moment for the fans.
Alonso throws his cap to the crowd before the top three pose for the end-of-race photo on the top step.
Alonso gives the tifosi one final wave as he leaves the rostrum and the fans go wild one final time, before the drivers head into the official press conference.
Vettel now has a 112 point margin over Alonso in the standings, with Button and Webber tied five points further back.
There are still 150 points available in the remaining six races, meaning Vettel could potentially clinch the crown in Singapore.
Red Bull lead McLaren in the constructors' race by a slightly-reduced 126 points, with Ferrari still some distance further back in third.
If Red Bull can win at Monza then victory is possible anywhere - that is the main message from today as the team puts to bed the memory of last year with another superb triumph.
The race was shaped at the start when Liuzzi attempted to mow the lawn approaching Turn 1. He slammed into several drivers and caused carnage, wiping out several cars and bringing out the safety car.
While Vettel sped away with Alonso chasing, Schumacher, Hamilton and Button provided much of the entertainment up front and there will be much to discuss in terms of driving standards and tactics in the hours to come among fans.
Others down the field benefited from the first lap chaos, but no-one could touch Vettel up front and back-to-back titles loom ever-larger for the German.
