Lap 38: Barrichello pits from 15th and he falls back behind Karthikeyan.
Lap 38: Webber pits for hard tyres and a lengthy run to the flag.
Lap 37: Hamilton is clocked just over 10 seconds behind the Mercedes pair and closing.
Lap 37: Petrov is now back behind Kovalainen, but he quickly dispatches the Lotus down the long straight towards Turn 4 and takes over 12th.
Lap 37: Rosberg runs fifth in the Mercedes, with team-mate Schumacher slowly closing on his countryman.
Lap 37: Sutil pits from ninth position in the Force India.
Lap 36: Petrov runs wide yet again - this time at Turn 6 and loses yet more time, while replays show that Perez overshot his pit box and suffered a slow stop as a result.
Lap 36: Up front, Vettel leads by a comfortable 5.8 seconds from Button. Webber is a further 8.8 seconds behind in third, chased by Alonso's Ferrari
Lap 35: Perez pits from 10th position as the midfield order continues to change.
Lap 35: Replays show an almost identical incident to that in qualifying. This time he hit a raised kerb with the left side and the suspension broke instantly.
Lap 35: The Ferrari driver pulls off and tells the team he has broken front suspension.
Lap 34: Oh more problems for Massa and he is touring slowly round Turns 10 and 11.
Lap 34: Alonso is now clocked two seconds behind Webber and the Spaniard has very good race pace at this phase.
Lap 34: Massa has rejoined in 11th, now running with the old specification front wing.
Lap 33: Petrov has run wide and lost contact with Perez. The Mexican now has a five second buffer over the Renault.
Lap 33: Replays show that Massa's front wing was vibrating heavily down the straight as seen previously in free practice.
Lap 32: Massa is in again for a change of tyres, fitting the harder rubber and getting repairs to the front of the Ferrari.
Lap 32: Alonso is now the fastest man on track with a new benchmark of 1m29.036s.
Lap 31: Massa serves his penalty and resumes still ahead of Hamilton on the road as the McLaren surges past Alguersuari on DRS into Turn 1.
Lap 31: Trulli pits from 20th and last position in the Lotus.
Lap 31: Meanwhile, Hamilton is looking for a repeat of that move on new rival Alguersuari.
Lap 31: Massa has been handed a drive-through penalty for his role in that incident with Hamilton.
Lap 29: Barrichello is up to 17th, having passed Karthikeyan a lap or two ago.
Lap 29: Di Resta is 15th and now chasing after Kovalainen, but he has 14 seconds to make up. Ricciardo is 16th after his recent stop.
Lap 29: Hamilton is now right with Alguersuari, and can't make a DRS move this time as the Toro Rosso demonstrates good straight-line speed.
Lap 28: Massa reports a problem with the down-shift of his gearbox.
Lap 28: Behind them, Sutil is 10th with Perez 11th and still just 1.4s clear of Petrov, with Senna 13th and Kovalainen 3.7s back in 14th.
Lap 28: Up front, Vettel leads by 3.4 seconds over Button and Webber.
Lap 28: Hamilton is ninth for the moment, now chasing down Alguersuari in the Toro Rosso.
Lap 27: Ricciardo finally pits the HRT from 15th, releasing di Resta into that position.
Lap 27: "Felipe [Massa] just turned in on me. Didn't give me any space," complains Hamilton on the McLaren radio.
Lap 26: Buemi pulls off to the side of the track with smoke coming from the back of the car. His good race is over.
Lap 26: The contact between Hamilton and Massa is under investigation by the stewards.
Lap 26: Massa remains fifth and looks to have survived that assault from Hamilton for the moment.
Lap 25: Ricciardo is the only driver yet to pit. He runs in 16th for the moment.
Lap 25: Hamilton is in the pits for a change of front wing.
Lap 25: Senna emerged from his stop in 14th - just 2.3s clear of Kovalainen. The pair will continue their developing battle.
Lap 25: Contact was inevitable and both cars appear to have sustained some damage in what is sure to provoke further controversy.
Lap 25: Hamilton tries DRS on Massa into Turn 4 and then pokes the nose of the McLaren in at Turn 5.
Lap 24: Massa has been wide and Hamilton is now on the gearbox of the Ferrari - a pair with significant history of contact this season.
