Lap 23: The sunshine is back above the pits, suggesting the worst of that shower may have skirted past the track.
Lap 22: Hamilton has a very useful lead of 11.2 seconds but will surely be nervous of getting caught out by changing conditions.
Lap 22: Vettel is nevertheless fighting hard with Liuzzi for track position ... and now he pits to take that penalty.
Lap 20: Vettel's race engineer gives him the news and reminds him that he can of course pass the pits a couple of times before taking the penalty.
Lap 20: There are spots of rain again at the far reaches of the circuit.
Lap 20: Sebastian Vettel has been handed a drive-through penalty for causing that collision with Button. He is 12th currently.
Lap 19: Liuzzi is 11th with Vettel 12th and somehow able to continue after that swipe into Button's McLaren.
Lap 19: That minor sprinkle of rain that seemed to catch out Vettel at the Bus Stop has eased off again.
Lap 18: Rosberg is seventh and a couple of seconds behind his team-mate, with Kobayashi a fine eighth, Alonso now ninth and Petrov 10th.
Lap 18: The stewards are investigating Vettel's shunt into Button.
Lap 18: Webber is now third, Massa fourth, Sutil fifth and Schumacher is up to sixth!
Lap 18: Light spots are falling but nothing worse than that at the moment, certainly around the pits area.
Lap 17: Button is out on the spot with radiator damage and this could be a costly points day for both men.
Lap 17: Vettel got a run on Button and he simply couldn't stop in time on the outside and speared straight into the McLaren.
Lap 17: Hulkenberg also comes into the pits from seventh and Petrov pits from ninth.
Lap 17: Vettel dives into the pits for a nose change, while Button is surely going to be forced into retirement.
Lap 16: Vettel spears into Button as rain hits at the final corner!
Lap 16: Alonso is now up to 13th place and has Kobayashi 12 seconds ahead. The Spaniard will have several laps of clear space to catch the Sauber.
Lap 16: A great move there from Alonso round the outside of the Bus Stop ... which became the inside line for the exit onto the pit straight.
Lap 16: Red Bull warns Vettel on the incoming shower, which they expect to be in 10 minutes and similar to the one at the start of the race.
Lap 16: Kobayashi sends a wild move up the inside of Rosberg but it failed to come off as Alonso takes Liuzzi!
Lap 15: Up front, Hamilton has a lead of almost 10 seconds while Button leads a train of Vettel, Kubica, Webber and Massa.
Lap 15: Alonso has a huge speed advantage up the Kemmel straight and again he makes up at least four car lengths, but Liuzzi again protects the inside and holds on.
Lap 15: Alonso is still forcing hard to try and get past Liuzzi as the fight for 13th continues.
Lap 15: We are moving towards the window for the soft tyre runners to stop but they are likely to wait and see what the next shower is going to do.
Lap 14: Button's pace is particularly poor through the middle sector as he struggles for downforce with the damage to his front wing endplate.
Lap 14: McLaren's radar is pointing towards another possible light shower in 10 minutes' time, although light spots appear to be falling at the bottom of the hill.
Lap 14: Schumacher in 10th asks his race engineer about the weather. He is told it will be dry for the next five minutes - helpful.
Lap 13: It's nose-to-tail way behind leader Hamilton as Button forms a pack of Vettel, Kubica, Webber and Massa.
Lap 13: Alonso has caught Liuzzi and makes a move to the outside of the Force India on the run to Les Combes, but the Italian holds the inside and maintains track position. This is the battle for 13th.
Lap 13: Vettel gets a good run this time but can't make it happen as the Red Bull hits the rev limiter on the run to Les Combes.
Lap 13: So now Petrov is ninth, six seconds behind Hulkenberg. Schumacher is 10th, Rosberg continuing in 11th and Kobayashi 12th.
Lap 12: Vettel is right with Button's McLaren but he is struggling to deal with the straight-line pace of the world champion's car.
Lap 12: The threatening clouds beyond Rivage continue to move towards the circuit
Lap 12: The incident between Rubens Barrichello and Fernando Alonso on the opening lap will be investigated after the race.
Lap 11: At the exit of the Les Combes section Schumacher saw an opportunity to pass his team-mate and also went for the outside line. The pair touched and Rosberg has front wing damage.
Lap 11: Hamilton is now 5.6 seconds clear up front, with Button under pressure from Vettel. Kubica and Webber are now also right behind the McLaren.
Lap 11: Petrov shows real fire with a great move around the outside of Rosberg at Les Combes. He makes the move stick to take over ninth.
Lap 11: Liuzzi has dropped down the field and he pits the Force India. He is back out after a very quick stop.
