Lap 41: Vettel is under investigation for speeding in the pitlane!
Lap 41: Buemi takes on more fuel via the second rig in the pitlane. The Alguersuari early launch has damaged the primary rig and that caused the slow stop for Buemi's second stop.
Lap 41: Buemi comes into the pits again and this could be all over for the Swiss driver.
Lap 40: Hamilton will be looking to extend the lead before his final stop, with Glock also eying second place while Vettel is heavy with fuel.
Lap 40: Sebastien Buemi pits from 13th in the other Toro Rosso, and it's a slow stop. A total pitlane time of over 42 seconds. Definitely another problem there for the STR crew.
Lap 40: The super-soft rubber and fuel to the finish goes with the Red Bull and he resumes seventh.
Lap 39: Rosberg takes Alguersuari and is now 16th. His next target is Tonio Liuzzi, who is still stuck behind Giancarlo Fisichella. The gap to Liuzzi is 12 seconds.
Lap 39: The two-hour time limit may just be avoided, but this race still has 23 long laps remaining.
Lap 39: Rosberg in 17th closes another four seconds on Alguersuari and is less than two seconds behind the Toro Rosso driver.
Lap 39: Vettel is also trying to cool the car by keeping out of Hamilton's wake, and that has cost him some time on this lap.
Lap 38: Vettel closes the gap to 0.5 seconds but the right-hand wing mirror has just fallen off the Red Bull.
Lap 38: Nico Rosberg is immediately 'on it' with the softer tyres and pulls in 4.2s on Alguersuari in just one lap. He'll be with the Toro Rosso in a couple of laps. The gap is 6.2 seconds.
Lap 38: Jenson Button is 1.4 seconds behind Kovalainen in seventh but is making little impression on the McLaren. He'll be hoping to run longer.
Lap 37: Hamilton sets the fastest lap as he extends the lead slightly to 0.9 seconds.
Lap 37: Timo Glock is pushing the Toyota as the team continue to eye leapfrogging Vettel, who the pitlane believe only has a few more laps of fuel.
Lap 37: Rosberg is now 10.5 seconds behind Alguersuari in 16th, but he is now in clean air and can push for several laps.
Lap 36: Rosberg has dropped to the rear of the field in 17th position and on his lap out of the pits almost grazed the wall exiting the right-handed Turn 5.
Lap 35: Nico Rosberg gets out from behind Trulli's gearbox and comes into the pits for fuel and tyres. He takes on the super-soft rubber and can now go to the end of the race.
Lap 34: Away from the lead scrap, the only fight on the track now is between Trulli and Rosberg for 13th. The gaps are slowly beginning to spread out throughout the field.
Lap 34: Vettel's relentless chase of Hamilton continues, with any mistake from the leader set to be punished by the closely-following Red Bull.
Lap 33: Nico Rosberg is still right on the rear of Jarno Trulli and is likely to lose patience soon. He has nothing to lose from where he is at the moment and might as well try to send a move on the Toyota.
Lap 33: Heikki Kovalainen gained a couple of places during the scramble to pit under safety car, taking sixth, and the Finn is Jenson Button's next target.
Lap 32: Glock remains third, well clear of Alonso fourth and Barrichello fifth.
Lap 31: Vettel continues to hound leader Hamilton, with the Red Bull just under second behind.
Lap 31: Sebastien Buemi is 12th and has Trulli and Rosberg close to him, with Fisichella 16th and dropping away, Liuzzi is still right on the gearbox of the Ferrari. This battle has raged since lap five or so. Jaime Alguersuari is 16th and last, two seconds behind the Fisichella-Liuzzi battle.
Lap 31: The race has now been going for an hour, with just over half the laps remaining in this lengthy contest.
Lap 30: The gaps are quite tight throughout the field. Button is now seventh after Rosberg's penalty with Webber close behind in eighth. Kubica is ninth, Nakajima 10th and Raikkonen 11th.
Lap 30: Timo Glock is told on the radio to maintain the gap to Vettel as the Toyota will be running longer.
Lap 29: Vettel is one second behind Hamilton but is likely to pit earlier at the final stop.
Lap 29: Hamilton now leads from Vettel, with the Red Bull driver now looking to challenge on the run to the second stops.
Lap 28: Rosberg comes back out after serving his drive-through penalty and is just behind Trulli in 14th place.
Lap 28: Race control has announced that the incident that brought out the safety car between Sutil and Heidfeld will be investigated after the race.
Lap 28: Rosberg heads into the pits to take his costly penalty.
Lap 28: Rosberg is still to pit for his penalty and is now testing the bounds of the rule that requires a penalty to be taken after three laps.
Lap 27: It was a close restart with a lot of jostling for position, but no passing moves were made and everyone has stayed in their positions so far.
Lap 27: Behind the lead trio is the squabbling pack of Glock, Alonso, Barrichello and Kovalainen.
Lap 26: Hamilton leads from Rosberg and Vettel through the first lap of the restart.
Lap 26: Alonso is looking at Glock for fourth with Barrichello and Kovalainen scrapping close behind.
Lap 26: Rosberg has not pitted, so he will try to leave taking his penalty for as long as possible.
