Lap 47: But eighth will not be good enough for Rosberg as far as the constructors' championship is concerned. Nick Heidfeld is fifth for BMW and those four points will be enough to jump Williams in the table for sixth place.
Lap 47: Jenson Button continues to close rapidly on Mark Webber as the world champion clearly wants to question Red Bull's dominance.
Lap 45: The Buemi versus Rosberg fight is not yet over. Rosberg in ninth is 1.9s behind and could yet mount a challenge in the final 11 laps.
Lap 45: Trulli is seventh for the run to the flag, with the ever-impressive Buemi on course for the final point in eighth.
Lap 44: Toro Rosso did amazing work to get Buemi out ahead of Kubica and Rosberg. Kubica then tried to pass the Toro Rosso driver but suffered a spin in the process.
Buemi just got away with it and Rosberg also nipped through past the recovering Polish driver.
So Buemi emerges in a wonderful eighth place with Rosberg ninth, Kubica 10th and Kovalainen 11th.

Lap 44: Kobayashi is up to sixth, which will be his final position now those ahead have stopped.
Lap 44: Vettel leads from Webber, Button, Barrichello and Heidfeld.
Lap 43: It is a great stop from Button and he is back out ahead of the squabbling Barrichello and Heidfeld.
Lap 43: Buemi is well clear of Rosberg and running eighth!
Lap 43: Jenson Button is also in for his final stop as Vettel resumes clear in the lead.
Lap 42: Vettel pits from his comfortable lead.
Lap 42: Rubens just resumes still ahead of Heidfeld after a close scrap through the pit exit.
Lap 42: Buemi exits the pits, but the question is has he managed to jump Rosberg?
Lap 42: Barrichello and Heidfeld pit for their last-ever in-race refuelling.
Lap 42: Sebastien Buemi is running just over two seconds per lap quicker than Rosberg at the moment. Buemi now pits. That two seconds could be enough!
Lap 42: Kobayashi's pace is slowly improving as he continues a long stint on the softer tyres. He is now eighth and set to move up further as the two-stoppers come in.
Lap 41: Webber is away on the softer tyres and is on course for second, but resumes behind Trulli in sixth for now.
Lap 41: Mark Webber pits for his final stop from second.
Lap 40: Rosberg rejoins just ahead of Heikki Kovalainen who is 11th. Neither has to stop again and with Buemi in the mix after his final stop this could become quite a battle at the back end of the points.
Lap 40: Robert Kubica pits for his final stop. While he was closing on Trulli, stopping before the Toyota will not help his cause.
Lap 39: Nico Rosberg pits for the second time from eighth position, handing Buemi a point for the moment. Rosberg takes on the soft compound tyre and continues.
Lap 39: Sebastien Buemi has put on a brilliant showing in the Toro Rosso. He spent the first stint of the race close behind Rosberg in what was a battle for ninth. Hamilton retired and the pair of them stopped, maintaining the order.
Rosberg is now eighth with Buemi ninth, still just 1.4s behind the Williams. It's a drive that is so far getting the Swiss no points, but it's a very good performance.

Lap 37: Nick Heidfeld is currently fifth, while the early-stopping Kubica has fallen behind Trulli's Toyota but is closing down the gap.
Lap 37: Alonso has rejoined in 14th place, jumping Liuzzi and the speeding Fisichella after going long on his first stint.
Lap 36: At the end of the lap, Alonso comes in for his one and only stop. He takes on the softer tyre and will now run to the end of the race.
Lap 35: Fernando Alonso has yet to stop in the Renault. He is making the best of a light load and passes Kamui Kobayashi for 10th place.
Lap 35: Adrian Sutil has effortlessly passed Romain Grosjean for 16th place following the Frenchman's pitstop.
Lap 33: Nakajima pits from ninth place in the Williams and slides well down outside the top ten, with little chance of scoring points this evening.
Lap 33: Vettel is delivering a commanding performance out front and is now almost 10 seconds ahead of second-placed Webber.
Lap 33: Giancarlo Fisichella has been handed a drive-through penalty for speeding in the pitlane. He takes the penalty and rejoins.
Lap 32: Kovalainen exits and the Ferrari is left trailing in the distance. Kovalainen jumps Raikkonen and McLaren are on course for third in the championship.
Lap 32: Kovalainen pits for his soft tyres and fuel and is away to resume his battle with Raikkonen.
Lap 32: Button is told to push as he is 'kneck-and-kneck' with Kobayashi.
Lap 32: Kovalainen goes on for another lap and now has a great opportunity to jump Raikkonen when he pits. This is critical to the McLaren versus Ferrari battle for third in the constructors' championship.
Lap 31: The Japanese blasts out of the pitbox, through the tunnedl and back into the race, currently behind Buemi in 11th. He will move up as the two-stoppers pit again.
Lap 31: Raikkonen rejoins in front of Grosjean, who is 16th at the moment.
Lap 31: Kobayashi pits for his single stop.
Lap 30: Kovalainen stays out and now has the extra lap to try and jump ahead of the Ferrari.
Lap 30: Raikkonen pits the Ferrari, taking softer tyres and a hefty fuel load to the finish.
Lap 29: Jaime Alguersuari suggests to the media that his retirement was related to the gearbox, rather than anything to do with his bungled stop.
