Warm-up: No prizes for guessing who...

AMG Mercedes' top dog Bernd Schneider was again light years ahead of his opposition in the half hour warm-up for today(Sunday)'s DTM races at the A1-Ring in Austria.

After cleaning up in qualifying yesterday, Schneider wiped the floor again in the warm-up, almost six tenths clear of Audi's Laurent Aiello. Another polished performance in this afternoon's races will give the German a second successive DTM title.

Aiello was backed up by team mate Christian Abt, who has recovered from facial injuries sustained in a fracas during the Abt team's celebrations at the Nurburgring a fortnight ago, with the third fastest time.

Timo Scheider gave Opel another ray of hope with the fourth quickest lap in his Astra Coupe, just clear of Schneider's AMG Merc team mate Peter Dumbreck, who will start the qualifying race from the front row of the grid.

Alain Menu was the second fastest Opel in sixth, ahead of Uwe Alzen (Mercedes), Mattias Ekstrom (Audi) and Christijan Albers (Mercedes).

The qualifying race begins at 14.29 local time (13.29BST), and Autosport.com will bring you all the action as it happens.
