Warm-up: Fassler leads Merc charge
AMG Mercedes 'B' team duo Marcel Fassler and Uwe Alzen topped Sunday's warm-up session for round three of the DTM at Donington Park
Three Mercedes filled the top four places, with Laurent Aiello the sole interloper in his Abt-Audi, the series leader setting the third fastest time ahead of reigning champion Bernd Schneider (Mercedes).
Three Opels filled the next three slots, with Timo Scheider heading Joachim Winkelhock and Alain Menu. Former F1 stars Jean Alesi (Mercedes) and Karl Wendlinger (Audi) were next up, ahead of the Persson Mercedes duo of Thomas Jager and Peter Dumbreck.
Pole sitter Manuel Reuter was only 14th fastest in his Opel. The qualification race kicks off at 14.15 BST, and although the weather was bright and sunny for the warm-up, rain showers are forecast this afternoon.
