Martin Tomczyk heads DTM warm-up at Oschersleben
Martin Tomczyk rebounded from a disastrous DTM qualifying session by setting the pace in warm-up at Oschersleben
The championship leader, who will start back in 14th place, had been a consistent top-six runner all session after drastic overnight set-up changes to his Phoenix Audi, and went to the top of the timesheets in 1m23.551s in the final minute.
His lap knocked the Abt A4 car of Mattias Ekstrom off the top spot by 0.023s, with Filipe Albuquerque completing an all-Audi top three in his Rosberg-run car.
Christian Vietoris was the best of the Mercedes drivers in his old-spec Persson car, with David Coulthard's Mucke-run example ahead of Ralf Schumacher, who was the best of HWA's clan in sixth.
Polesitter Miguel Molina was seventh in his Abt Audi, ahead of Bruno Spengler's HWA Mercedes and Timo Scheider.
Scheider repeated his practice incident at Turn 1 by outbraking himself and running straight on with five minutes to go. The two-time champion was able to complete a U-turn and rejoin the circuit without reaching the gravel.
Renger van der Zande completed the top 10 in his Persson Mercedes while HWA drivers Jamie Green and Gary Paffett were down in 14th and 15th spots.
