Turkington takes race 3 win

Race one pole-sitter Colin Turkington won the third British Touring Car Championship race at Brands Hatch today, putting a stop to Fabrizio Giovanardi's streak of wins earlier today

The RAC BMW driver took the lead when Mike Jordan (Eurotech Honda) collided with Giovanardi's Vauxhall early in the race, taking both off track.

Both recovered, however, with Giovanardi finishing fourth and Jordan ninth, also setting the race's fastest lap.

Crucially, though, Giovanardi finished ahead of title rival Jason Plato, who finished fifth. Plato now leads Giovanardi by just four points.

Team Halfords' Gordon Sedden and Jacksons MSport's Mat Jackson finished second and third respectively.
