Turkington Claims Donington Pole
Colin Turkington beat out his more famous rivals to claim the first pole of the British Touring Car Championship season on the Donington National Circuit

Turkington set a time of 1:12.092 to steal pole from Matt Neal by just five hundredths of a second, with the poleman's Vauxhall teammate Yvan Muller a further three hundredths behind.
While the first three drivers were separated by less than one tenth of a second, SEAT's lead driver, and Muller's fierce rival, Jason Plato was more than half a second of the pace, which was only good enough sixth on the grid.
The first three rounds of the series will be run tomorrow, April 9.
