Touring car calendar revised

The non-championship round will now be held on 11 July, which was originally scheduled for a meeting at Croft in Yorkshire.

Croft will not miss out - its race simply shifts back a couple of weeks to July 25. But that date was also taken (on the original calendar) by the Knockhill round.

Knockhill thus moves to August 8, which, happily, was previously an empty weekend. The final three races will therefore have unchanged dates.

This effectively removes what would have been a summer break for the series. But the British Grand Prix race (a non-championship affair) is expected to be an important showpiece, so the F1 switches dictated a change for the tourers as well.

The British Grand Prix meeting will be the only three-day affair next year, with the three races held across the Saturday and Sunday.
