Tempus to run only one car at Brands

British Touring Car team Tempus Sport will run only one of its Chevrolet Lacettis at the Brands Hatch season-opener this weekend

The squad, which is making its series debut at the Kent circuit, has entered a pair of the 2008-spec WTCC machines into the championship but is yet to find a second driver to partner the already-signed Harry Vaulkhard.

"We were hoping to have a second car out at Brands but unfortunately that hasn't quite come together yet," said team director Richard Coleman. "However, we're working on several options to have a second car out later in the year."

Two-time BTCC champion James Thompson and Chevrolet WTCC driver Rob Huff have both tested for Tempus over the winter alongside Vaulkhard, while 2001 champion Jason Plato and SEAT Eurocup racer James Nash have both been strongly linked to the drive.
