Plato not feeling under pressure
Jason Plato believes that the pressure is now off of him despite the fact that he is back in the lead of the BTCC standings
The SEAT driver moved into a commanding position in the drivers' championship with two wins last time out at Donington, and he now believes that the team are back on form heading into this weekend's races at Snetterton.
"The pressure's off a little bit now," said Plato. "We've established a lead in the drivers' and teams' championships and closed the gap in the manufacturers'.
"Our team is full of confidence after Donington and, even though we go to Snetterton with a lot of work to do, we feel on top of our game."
Plato took two wins at Snetterton last year, and he believes that SEAT will be able to repeat that this season as they are returning with the same car.
"We went well at Snetterton last year, we know we have a good set-up that works well and we just have to find that sweet spot again," he said.
"There were a couple of corners where we were better than everyone last year and that made all the difference."
