Jones makes Brands Hatch grid
Team Air Cool have won their race against time to get Adam Jones onto the grid for this weekend's British Touring Car season-opener a Brands Hatch
The squad had planned to pick up their SEAT Leon TFSI - Jordi Gene's WTCC test hack from last season - from Barcelona on Tuesday.
But the Graham Davis-run team hit problems when it emerged that French law would not allow their pick-up and trailer on the roads over the Easter weekend, leaving Jones' participation in some doubt.
The car was collected late, but has now been delivered to Brands Hatch, leaving the GR-Asia mechanics just 48 hours to get it liveried and set up for the weekend.
Davis said: "It has been a stressful few days for all of the team wondering as to whether we would make it in time for the first meeting of the season and especially for Tony who has driven over 2000 miles to collect the car."
The BTCC field is already down to 25 cars for Brands Hatch after Team 48 announced earlier this week that they were skipping the round to focus on preparing their pair of Alfa Romeo 156s.
