Eaves on Maiden BTCC Pole

Dan Eaves upstaged the battle between Team Halfords teammate Matt Neal and Vauxhall's Yvan Muller for the British Touring Car Championship title on Saturday by claiming pole position for the series finale at Brands Hatch

Eaves on Maiden BTCC Pole

The Briton broke the qualifying lap record with a best lap of one minute 32.586 seconds in his Honda to secure the first pole of his BTCC career.

Vauxhall's Gavin Smith will line-up alongside Eaves on the front row with Muller setting the third fastest time - two places ahead of championship leader Neal.
