Filippi dominates Auto GP finale

The Italian immediately assumed the lead from the outside of the front row, and then had a straightforward run to the flag in front.

It was Filippi's first victory since the season-opener, and a first Auto GP triumph for his Super Nova team - Filippi having started the year running under the Euronova banner.

Jan Charouz took second for Charouz-Gravity, five seconds behind Filippi, and a safe distance ahead of champion Romain Grosjean.

Having clinched the crown yesterday, the DAMS driver had hoped he would be able to come through from eighth on the partially-reversed grid to add another win, but he lost too much time in a long battle with Trident's Julian Leal. The Colombian had made a slow start from pole but was not keen to relinquish a podium place - though he eventually had to concede to Grosjean.

Adrien Tambay, another member of the Charouz-Gravity fleet, fended off DAMS' Edoardo Piscopo for sixth, while Duncan Tappy lost his chance of another podium for DAMS when given a drive-through penalty for cutting a chicane.
