Muller stays on top in practice two

Yvan Muller followed up his strong pace this morning by once again posting the fastest lap in the second World Touring Car Championship free practice session at Brno

Muller's time of 2m10.202s, set early on in the session, remained unbeaten throughout, leaving the reigning champion in a good position ahead of this afternoon's qualifying sessions. Series leader Rob Huff was just a tenth of a second in arrears, while Alain Menu completed the Chevrolet trio in third.

Volvo driver Robert Dahlgren had looked set to spoil Chevrolet's session early on. His 2m11.041s time kept him in second position for well over 15 minutes. The Polestar Racing driver eventually finished best of the rest behind the Chevrolets in fourth.

ROAL Motorsport's Tom Coronel went one better than this morning by finishing fifth fastest in the top BMW, just ahead of Gabriele Tarquini's SUNRED SEAT.

Norbert Michelisz could not repeat his fourth position from first free practice but finished a solid performance in eighth for the Zengo Dension team. Franz Engstler (Engstler BMW) and Darryl O'Young (Bamboo Chevrolet) rounded out the top 10.
