Paviljonki Service B Notes
Marcus Gronholm (Peugeot) - rally leader: "Everything is going fine, but we've got a long way to go yet. If it stays dry I'd prefer to be after Harri and Richard on the road tomorrow. I was good running first last year, but it was damper then."
(Peugeot) - second, +08.7s: "We're going fast, but not taking many big risks. Both Richard and Marcus are going well, but third or fourth on the road tomorrow would be OK with me."
(Subaru) - third, +11.7s: "The car is feeling better. I feel more secure in it. We are close to the limit - we're 100 percent now, not 98 percent. It's maybe not so good being the first couple on the road tomorrow, but after that it's not that much different."
(Ford) - seventh, +50.1s: "It's similar to this morning. We're not quite as quick as we would like to be, but there have been no problems. SS4 wasn't great. We were on the start line when it was stopped (stage was delayed when a spectator was bitten by a snake) and we had to psyche ourselves back up again."
(Subaru) - 10th, +1m05.5s: The Norwegian has not had the best of times in Finland. He had suspension and brake problems on SS4 and causing his to miss junctions and stop on hairpins.
(Ford) - 11th, +1m06.6s: "I missed the braking point on a junction (on SS5) and went three or four metres too far. I couldn't find reverse gear and stalled two times. I then tried it in first to spin it around, but I stalled it again because I didn't have much room. Eventually I got it turned, but if I had found reverse I would have lost only three or four seconds."
(Hyundai) - 15th, +1m18.9s: McRae overshot a junction on SS5.
(Mitsubishi) - 21st, +1m57.5s: Gardemeister lost his front brakes on SS5 sending him into a spin and damaging the front of his Carisma.
(Hyundai) - 26th, +1m22.9s: The Swede's Accent is still suffering from the differential problems encountered on the first three stages of the day because his team didn't have enough time to make repairs at Service A. The team is hoping the solve the problem during this service.
